Tango Bardo busca un sonido crudo, potente y real
(Tango Bardo seeks a raw, powerful and real sound)

They would say they play more connected with the roots of tango, far from the academic vision of music.

For these musicians it is paramount to create connection with the dancers

Dancers can experience the “mugre” (‘dirt’; earthiness; raw grit) and “yeites” (‘licks’ - musical moves used when playing tango music to provide percussive effects) of each instrument and the connection between them. Their repertoire varies from tangos typical of the 1920s to tango nuevos, and spans composers like Pugliese, Piazzolla, Troilo, Di Sarli and Tanturi.

The most important aim is the "sonoridad fresca" (fresh sound) and the development of "un sonido personal" (personal/unique sound).
