Clarisa Aragon & Jonathan Saavedra belong to a new generation of young dancers who devote themselves entirely to the art of dancing Argentine Tango. Their mission is to make tango a lifestyle, and through hard work, innovation and commitment, being able to entertain us with truly unique performances and pass on their skills through teaching.
Their debut as professional dance partners took place in 2012 in the province of their native Cordoba, Argentina. From the outset, aided and supported by both their families and the tango community in laying down the foundations of this art form.
During the following years, they went through a number of enriching experiences such as dance competitions, performances, shows and Tango events, which encouraged them further to make the decision to become professional dancers. Along with the support of great maestros and instructors, they were able to develop a unique style both in their performances and in their teaching technique.
Clarisa & Jonathan strongly believe their performances are a way to genuinely open up this dance to anyone interested in Tango and to share with them the passion that comes with Tango. Throughout their lessons, they offer the students their points of view on technique, different tools for each dancer, and bring to bear all of their knowledge so that others can learn, experiment, practice and incorporate it in their own style of social dancing.
Once in BA, growth opportunities that not even themselves believed to be possible began to emerge. They decided to show their skills in the most popular Milongas and Tango competitions such as the Campeonato de la Cuidad and the Festival y Mundial de Tango (Tango World Championship). In 2015 they became World Champions in Tango de Pista.
Widely acclaimed, nowadays they find themselves touring the world attending the most well-known festivals and Tango events, as they make their contribution to Tango. They have the WOW factor. We hope you can join them in their journey!
